UPCOMING
Summer Sundays in the Library: Read, color, build LEGOs, and engage with our young church friends, ages 3 1/2 to 7, in the church library from 10:25 AM until Children’s Time in the worship service. Sundays May 31 through September 6. No prep needed!
ASP Snacks & Drinks: Donate snack and lunch items specifically requested by this year’s Appalachian Service Project team. Please place items in the corridor outside the church office by June 20. NOTE: In an effort to be good stewards of resources, we ask that you only provide what is listed in this sign-up. If all the slots are full, then please consider a financial contribution that allows us to purchase fresh produce in the community where we'll be serving.
Second Sunday Summer Socials: Help set-up, clean-up, or provide treats for Second Sunday Summer Socials. June 14, July 12, and August 9, before and after the worship service. Sign up for one or many!
Summer Program at the Kirk: The Kirk of Kildaire’s Summer Program for students in our community needs volunteers to assist teachers with art, music, field trips, and more! No supplies or specific experience required. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, June 16 to July 23, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
ONGOING
Worship: Act as a lay reader or provide flowers. With prior training, you can also help the Tech Team stream the service. Sunday mornings.
Oak City Cares: Bake at home, prepare food in the CPC kitchen, or deliver and serve a meal at the Oak City Cares location in Raleigh. Third Sunday of every month.
NeighborUp Adopt-a-Shelf Delivery: CPC collects shampoo and conditioner for NeighborUp’s (formerly Dorcas Ministries) Cary Food Pantry. These need to be taken from the church and delivered to the Cary Food Pantry every other week.
NeighborUp Food Pantry: Staff the Cary Food Pantry for NeighborUp (formerly Dorcas Ministries) during evening hours. Volunteers must complete paperwork for NeighborUp and go to a training session. Third Thursday of the month, 4:45 - 7:00 PM.
Cary Habitat for Humanity ReStore: The Cary ReStore needs volunteers to help increase revenue from their store. Profits go toward building more homes. Possible roles include identifying high value items like furniture or art, cleaning, running the cash register, testing electronics, organizing, making things to sell in the store, or repairing furniture. Your first volunteer day will be your orientation day. After that you can arrange your schedule with the store manager. The Cary Restore is located in Dorcas Plaza, just down the sidewalk from the Dorcas Thrift Shop, on High House Road.
