Show Appreciation for Barbara Munch

Immediately following the 11:00 service, the congregation is invited to a special potluck luncheon to celebrate and show appreciation for the service of Barbara Munch. As you may know, Barb is moving to Pennsylvania next month and this is your opportunity to wish her well as she begins her new journey.

Due to the CPC Family Retreat at Caraway. However, certain adult classes may meet, especially Adult I Bible Study. Please check to see if a particular adult class will be meeting that Sunday.

ACE (Adult Christian Education) series announced

David Voss and Jerry Slaymaker will lead three Sunday evening sessions, “When You Need to Forgive and Don’t Know How” on April 19, April 26, and May 3, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Parlor. The discussion will be based on a book by Lewis Smedes called The Art of Forgiving. This same rich resource was studied several years ago. Books will be available for $5. Marriage in the Presbyterian Church

April 21st - May 14th

The Kirk of Kildaire will be holding a series of events on the state of marriage in the Presbyterian Church, appearances by Ted Churn, the Executive Presbyter of the Presbytery of New Hope (April 21 (Tues) 6:30-7:30 p.m), Richard Boyce, academic dean of Union Presbyterian Seminary’s Charlotte campus (April 29 (Wed) 6:30-8:00 p.m.), Joel Marcus, professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at Duke Divinity School (May 5 (Tue) 6:30-8:00 p.m.), and Pastors of the Kirk (May 14 (Thur) 6:30-8:00 ).

Making Preschool Possible

Cary Presbyterian Preschool is doing its annual fundraiser for the "Making Preschool Possible" Scholarship Fund. The money raised with your donations will support two children in a 4-year-old class to get the readiness skills they need to have a wonderful foundation for Kindergarten. Gift baskets for the donations are on display TODAY in the courtyard (weather permitting) or outside Fellowship Hall.

CPC Blood Drive

CPC's next Blood Drive is tentatively scheduled for May 18. Please help us save lives! Sign-ups will begin soon.

Presbyterian Women Birthday Lunch

May 3 after 11:00 service

WOMEN OF THE CHURCH, help Presbyterian Women celebrate its birthday by attending a luncheon after the 11:00 service on May 3. Please bring salads/sandwiches to share. There will be a short program and offering which goes to the Community of St. Therese of Lisieux in Memphis, Tennessee and Bethesda Christian Community Center in Barranquilla, Colombia. As a local project, we will be putting together gift bags and making cards for those CPC women who are not able to get out and about.
