Advent Workshop

Next week, November 29 is the first Sunday in Advent, as well as the Sunday following Thanksgiving. We’re having an Advent Workshop during Sunday School that day for all ages, with adults and young people together. Bring your visiting relatives with you for Advent wreath making, learning about the new Advent Wheel, viewing the speed-sketch style video on Advent, and other activities. We’ll begin all together in the Fellowship Hall with hot chocolate, coffee, or tea, and a puppet show!

Christmas Musical

Rehearsals are underway for our youth Christmas musical, Camel Lot. Youth from 2nd through 7th grades are welcome to participate. Rehearsals will be each Sunday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. until the production on Sunday, December 13, during the Sunday School hour. For more information, contact Julie Henry at julieghenry@gmail.com.

It’s time to register to attend the CPC Family Retreat next April! The first deposit of 50% of the total is due December 6, so stop by the registration table in the Narthex today to begin.

Hanging of the Green – Crafts, Carols & Cookies

Make plans now to usher in the Advent season with a “Hanging of the Green” program on Saturday evening, December 5, 6:30-8:30 pm. We hope you can join us for all or part of the evening – to prepare yourself and the church for the Advent season. Look for event details and sign-ups in the narthex, or contact Jane Dunbar at thedunbars@mindspring.com. With a mix of activities, worship, music, and fellowship, there’s something for all ages and interests!
