Carolyn R. Clark, Director
Our program is a community-based mission of Cary Presbyterian Church,
designed to provide quality childcare for the children of working parents.
- We believe that children should have a safe, enjoyable place to be
before and after school hours.
- Children should have opportunities to learn from other children,
adults and life experiences.
- Children should be treated with respect and learn how to treat
others from all walks of life the same way.
- We are licensed by the NC Division of Child Development, so our
facilities, staff and program is carefully regulated.
We offer:
- a small enough program that your child gets individual attention
from our qualified and caring staff
- staff/student ratio of 1:10 or less
- clean and comfortable rooms to play and work in
- homework assistance in quiet study rooms
- a great outdoor playground, as well as an indoor recreational
area for inclement weather
- healthy snacks
- buses with seatbelts
- full day coverage on Teacher Workdays

Activities
|
After School children are picked up at their schools at dismissal time and transported to the church, where they have a healthy snack. While we are waiting for everyone to arrive, we have closets full of games, blocks and Legos, and dramatic and creative play options. At around 4:00, we offer quiet, supervised homework rooms for students needing to complete school assignments. When they are finished, they can join the others on the playground for basketball, soccer, swinging, climbing, playing in the sand…… being kids having fun. If the weather is inclement, we can use the Fellowship Hall for indoor recreational activities. Parents pick their children no later that 6:00pm.
|
 |
On Teacher Work Days and Early Dismissal Days, we expand our activities to include more extensive craft projects, organized recreational options, and sometimes an age-appropriate movie. On full days we will sometimes schedule an off-site activity or field trip to places like Jellybeans, local museums, parks and playgrounds.
Registration
Forms are available at the After School Office.
They may be picked up during hours of operation (2:00 – 6:00 PM) or by calling for other arrangements. Currently enrolled students will have priority, and their applications will be accepted first through February 20. After that time, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis throughout the spring and summer. We will keep a waiting list in the order the applications were received should all our spots fill.
You are welcome to schedule a visit to our facilities by calling the director at 469-4593 for an appointment.
Fees:
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $100.00, due with the application.
Monthly tuition is $255.00. Because there is just one week of school in August, the first tuition payment of $60.00
is due August 25, 2009. Tuition is due the first of each month after that, from
September through June. The June tuition will also be $60.00.
Students may attend part-time for 1-2 days each week if we are able to find another student to attend on alternate days. If we do not have another student and a full-time student is available, the full-time student will get priority. Monthly tuition for a part- time student is $125.00.
